We’re pretty excited to push another update to our first Google Wave bot – the AmazonBot. The update includes a refreshed UI, Amazon Marketplaces support, and language localization.

We just released another Google Wave robot and gadget – It allows to search for auctions and collaborative shopping on ebay.com. Wave participants can share auctions & information with contacts in real-time thanks to automatic queries by the ebayBot against conversation keywords. The eBayBot gadget can detect products and return inline auction and product links or a custom full auction browser.

We just released the WithWaves AmazonMP3Bot – a Google Wave robot and gadget – which enables social mp3 music research and shopping on Amazon.com. The AmazonMP3Bot gadget and bot can detect audio products and return inline links based on a Wave conversation or keyword query autodetecting artist name, song title, or album. Listen, this is a pretty cool thing. Google Wave also has a public timeline, like twitter. It shows all wave created and updated if they are marked “public”, and this happens real-time. You can open these waves and join the conversation.  To access it, all you need to do is, type “with:public” without quotes, in to the search bar.

One day after the beta account invites were sent out to thousands of users for preview, the wave public timeline is full of people excited about their new wave accounts. I can see new waves appearing every second.

1. Click on “Settings” on the Navigation Panel. Or, you can type “with:settie” in the search bar.

So let me get this straight: People bid hundreds or even thousands of dollars for the chance to use software that will help them do instant messaging, social networking and file sharing from one location?

But that's exactly the case, according to the Wall Street Journal, which found a blogger from Baltimore who tried to auction his Wave invite on eBay.

Invites to try Google Wave, the revolutionary real-time communication and collaboration tool, started going out around ten hours ago. If you haven’t got one yet, be patient – you might still be lucky.

Around the time Google flicked the switch on the invites, one of the team behind the launch tweeted “Wave invites starting … will take many many many many hours to get them all out! We are so very grateful for all the interest!!”

Google will make its Google Wave real-time collaboration platform available to 100,000 more people beginning tomorrow in what the company is calling an "extended preview."

As I noted over the weekend, Wave has been tested internally by thousands of Googlers and externally by thousands of developers. These folks have been poking and prodding it to flesh out the soft spots in the code.

When Google wave is released, we will start searching for cool smiles and emoticons for Wave conversations too. I started that search early and found a nice plugin for all of us !!

EtherPad is a collaborative, real-time text editor designed to make working together on written documents slick and easy. With etherpad it’s possible for two (or more) people to work together and see instantaneous alterations to the document as you work. Although Google docs features document collaboration, the changes are not instant and working on a document can feel a little like working on an early version of Word.
